So, what’s the BetGenie Concept?

In its simplest terms, BetGenie looks to find bets for games with similar chances but higher odds, helping to maximise the return in your favour.

How does it work?

Imagine someone flips a coin and, before this, you are given an option to bet on:

1. Heads: @1/2 or Tails: @1/2

2. Heads: @evens or Tails: @evens

Which one would you bet on, knowing the probability of each is 50% versus 50% under normal circumstances?

Now imagine the odds are slightly changed to:

3. Heads: 9/10 and Tails: 11/10

Has the probability changed? The answer is no, so why have the odds changed?

They have changed because the bookmaker has received higher demand for Heads. Because of this, they have reacted by offering increased odds on Tails to make the offer more attractive, enabling them to hedge their risk.
